1. Who we are
MakeItLegit is operated by Harun Raaj & Associates (Chartered Accountants), with offices at India. We provide free legal and compliance tools for Indian founders and connect users with professional CA services. For data protection queries, write to harunraaj@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect and why

3. Legal basis (DPDP Act, 2023)
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (when you submit a form or enquire via WhatsApp) and our legitimate interest in improving our tools and services (analytics). You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us at the address above.
4. Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymisation enabled. GA4 sets cookies to measure aggregate traffic. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Data storage & security
Contact details and booking data are stored in Supabase (EU region, SOC 2 Type II certified), protected by row-level security policies. Tool calculation inputs are not stored — they are processed entirely in your browser and discarded when you close the page.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase — database hosting
- Google LLC — analytics (GA4)
- WhatsApp / Meta — when you initiate a chat via our WhatsApp buttons
- Regulators — if required by law or court order
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf

8. Retention
We retain contact and booking data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with applicable law, typically no longer than 3 years from the last interaction. Analytics data is retained for 14 months per GA4 default settings.
9. Children
Our tools are intended for business founders and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18 years of age.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve or as law requires. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
